🧾Mississippi LPC-Supervisor Requirements
To become a Board-Qualified Supervisor (LPC-S) in Mississippi, you must meet the following criteria:
Active LPC License: Hold an active status as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Mississippi.
Clinical Experience: Have at least five (5) years of post-degree experience in a clinical setting, with at least two (2) years post-licensure.
Supervision Training: Complete one of the following supervision training options:
Graduate-Level Academic Training: At least one graduate-level academic course in counseling supervision, including a minimum of 45 clock hours (equivalent to a three-credit hour semester course).
Professional Training: A Board-approved professional training program in supervision, with a minimum of 45 clock hours, meeting presentation standards established by the Board.
Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) Credential: Hold the ACS credential from the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE).
Professional Membership: Maintain documented membership in a professional counseling organization.
No Disciplinary Sanctions: Have no disciplinary sanctions against the LPC license.
Supervision Contract: Submit a supervision contract to the Board, outlining the supervision process, expectations, responsibilities, terms, fees, and procedures for distance supervision if applicable.
Approval by the Board: Receive approval from the Board after submitting all required documentation.

🔁Continuing Education (CE) Requirements for LPC-S Renewal
To maintain your LPC-S status, you must fulfill the following Continuing Education (CE) requirements every two years:
Total CE Hours: Complete 24 CE hours, including:
6 hours in professional ethics or legal issues in the delivery of counseling services.
2 hours in supervision-specific training (1 hour per year).
Telemental Health CE: If you are listed as a Distance Professional Services provider, complete 2 hours in Telemental Health counseling.
