Dr. Jason Buckles, PhD, LPCC, is a nationally recognized expert in behavioral health care for individuals with intellectual disability and dual diagnoses. Drawing on over two decades of experience—as a clinical director, consultant, and university instructor—Dr. Buckles guides learners with clarity, compassion, and clinical insight.

Dr. Jason Buckles, PhD, is a psychologist, consultant, and educator specializing in intellectual disability and co-occurring mental health conditions. He is the owner of Talkabout Inc., a behavior consultation agency, and serves as a consultant with the New Mexico Department of Health, where he oversees sexual risk screening, behavior support systems, and statewide training initiatives. Formerly Statewide Clinical Director for NMDOH and Executive Director of A Better Way of Living, Dr. Buckles has also taught courses on intellectual disability and DSM assessment at the University of New Mexico and New Mexico Highlands University.
