Dr. Sam Alibrando, a clinical psychologist with over 35 years of experience and the award-winning author of The Three Dimensions of Emotions, draws on decades of clinical and organizational consulting work to teach this essential skill set. His Interpersonal Triangle model is a fresh, integrative approach that translates complex psychological patterns into actionable strategies for emotional balance and leadership growth.
Dr. Alibrando teaches through the lens of transformation—how to recognize habitual emotional patterns and shift into mindful responsiveness. By understanding the interpersonal dimensions of Power, Heart, and Knowing, learners will walk away with the ability to name, navigate, and support movement toward emotional intelligence in themselves and those they serve.
This course explores the three dimensions of the interpersonal world—Power (assertive action), Heart (compassionate connection), and Knowing (mindful detachment)—as a framework for emotional intelligence. Topics include the “sweet spot” of dynamic integration, common imbalances and how they manifest, reactive vs. intentional behavior, and how to apply the Interpersonal Triangle model in therapy and leadership contexts.
