Our Elementary School Counseling in the Virtual Environment course helps you competently provide the same standard of care virtually as you do on site with students.

This course focuses on building relationships with students and staff virtually and empowers clinicians to manage ethical concerns (such as student confidentiality), respond to psychological emergencies, nurture elementary-schoolers academic excitement, and promote digital citizenship.

Learning Objectives:

  • The participant will have a better understanding of ethical considerations for a virtual setting.
  • The participant will begin to formulate a plan to implement a comprehensive school counseling program in a virtual setting.
  • The participant will receive ideas and resources for managing their responsibilities in a virtual setting.

Tim K. Hardin currently serves as the school counselor for grades PK - 5 at Dr. Edward D.
