How to Become an Approved Clinical Supervisor for LPC-S in Alaska

Alaska LPC Clinical Supervisor CE Requirements
According to the Alaska Board of Professional Counselors, LPC-S seeking approval as clinical supervisors must meet specific Continuing Education (CE) requirements within two years prior to their application:
25 Contact Hours: Continuing education specifically related to clinical supervision.
12 Hours of Synchronous Learning: At least 12 hours must include real-time, synchronous interaction (e.g., live webinars, workshops, or seminars).
Approved CE sources include:
Graduate-level courses (three semester hours) in clinical supervision.
Courses approved by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC).
Courses approved by the American Counseling Association (ACA).
Courses approved by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
Other courses pre-approved by the Alaska Board.
