The Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists (OBLPCT) outlines specific criteria for LPCs to become approved clinical supervisors:
Active Licensure: You must hold an active Oregon LPC license.
Supervision Training: Complete 30 clock hours of post-master’s degree supervision training.
Law and Rules Exam: Pass the Board’s law and rules examination.
Experience:
Document at least 6 hours of post-licensure supervision of your clinical supervision by a Board Approved Supervisor.
Accumulate a minimum of 100 hours of post-licensure experience supervising registered associates or student interns from Board-Approved Oregon graduate programs.
