🧭 South Carolina LPC Supervisor Requirements
To be approved as a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPCS) in South Carolina, you must:
Hold a current, active, and unrestricted South Carolina LPC license.
Meet one of the following educational and experience criteria:
Option A: Possess a doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision.
Option B: If not holding a doctoral degree, you must:
Provide evidence of at least five (5) years of continuous clinical experience immediately preceding the application.
Submit evidence of a minimum of thirty-six (36) hours of individual/triadic supervision over no less than a two-year period, by a Board-licensed professional counselor supervisor, of your supervision of at least two (2) and no more than six (6) licensed professional counselor associates.
Submit evidence of a minimum of three (3) semester hours of graduate study in supervision or training approved by the Board.

🔄 Renewal Requirements for LPC Supervisors
Once licensed, LPC Supervisors in South Carolina must complete:
10 hours of formal continuing education in supervision during every two-year licensure period. These hours must be oriented to supervision and are in addition to the continuing education hours required for renewal of the LPC license.
