This unique activity pairs you with an AI that serves as both your instructor and your client, "Jordan," guiding you step-by-step through 12 core micro-skills in a series of focused practice scenarios.
Your Role
- Listen as the AI instructor introduces a specific micro-skill and explains the criteria for success.
- Engage in a short, focused role-play scenario with the AI client, "Jordan," to demonstrate the assigned skill.
- Progress sequentially through all 12 scenarios, building your competence one skill at a time.
Goals of the Activity
- Isolate and systematically hone each of the 12 foundational micro-skills in a structured, distraction-free environment.
- Build confidence in your ability to apply specific therapeutic techniques intentionally and effectively.
- Receive a detailed, rubric-based evaluation of your performance to identify your strengths and target areas for growth.
After the Session
After completing all 12 scenarios, you will receive a comprehensive evaluation report, including:
- A detailed, rubric-based assessment of your proficiency in each of the 12 core micro-skill areas.
- Clear confirmation of your clinical strengths, affirming the skills you have mastered.
- Specific, actionable insights into areas for improvement, allowing for focused professional development.

- Practice in Realistic Scenarios: Engage in a series of text-based role-play scenarios where you'll apply the skill in response to an AI "client."
- Get Instant Feedback: Immediately after you submit a response, your AI instructor will provide personalized, on-the-spot feedback to help you learn, adjust, and improve.
- Build Confidence Through Repetition: You will work through several different client scenarios, allowing you to practice the skill until you feel competent and confident.
- Receive a Final Summary: At the end of the lab, you'll receive a summary of your progress and a comprehensive report evaluating your performance.
- Get Immediate Access: After enrolling, you can access your online learning portal where your lab is waiting.
- Launch the Activity: From your learning portal, simply launch the skills lab to begin.
- Follow the Prompts: Read the instructions and client scenarios, then type - or speak - your responses directly into the chat window when prompted.
- Work at Your Own Pace: There are no timers. You can take as much time as you need to think about and formulate your responses, and continue exchanges until you decide the lesson has been completed.
- Complete and Review: An attempt will conclude once you’ve decided that the scenario have been completed to your satisfaction. You can then view your detailed performance report.
- Practice again: You are allowed 10 full attempts/lessons. This allows you to build upon the previous lesson and continue to improve your technique.
