Description

An every-other-month continuing education series -- a free forum for clinical supervisors to learnnetwork, and share historical and innovative practices in clinical supervision for mental health professionals. The focus will include a combination of theory and practice. Each month an expert supervisor will facilitate a lecture and discussion. Guest presenters will include allied professionals representing counseling, clinical social work, marriage and family therapy, and psychology. Continuing Education credits will be offered for behavioral health clinicians.

July 19 - Using Inventories and Feedback Measure to Support Supervision, presented by Dr. Tara Sanderson, PsyD, MBA

Supervisees everywhere are asking for clear and detailed feedback on how they can improve their clinical skills. Accreditation programs and schools provide clarity on benchmarks and competencies, but supervisees want more. Supervisors can build supports within their supervision by utilizing inventories and feedback measures to help supervisees define their strengths and growing areas as well as create clearly defined goals and objectives. We all know supervision is more than just listening to them discuss their client cases.

Supervisors who are new to the industry or Supervisors who have been doing this for a while can benefit from learning about these inventories and feedback measures. Post-Pandemic Research has highlighted the changes in our industry, especially in the areas of support and feedback within supervision. As supervisors, we need to adapt to the new needs of our supervisees. In this course, you will develop some new understanding of the Inventories and Feedback Measures, some creative ways to introduce these to your supervisees, and some clarity in understanding what to look for when adding inventories and feedback measures to your supervision practice.

January 19, 2024 Building Effective Mental Health Supervision: Developing a Comprehensive Curriculum for Supervisors' Training Objectives with Amy Smitke

  1. Create curriculum components, including learning objectives, activities, assessments, and timelines.
  2. Integrate contemporary theories and evidence-based practices into the curriculum to enhance its relevance and effectiveness.
  3. Explore the concept of competency-based learning and explain how it can be applied to developing a supervision curriculum.

Register: The Clinical Supervisors' Forum is FREE, and we are pleased to be able to offer you CEs as a part of this important dialogue. So that we can provide you these CEs, you are required to:

  1. login and access the direct link to the webinar through your account
  2. participate in the webinar fully
  3. complete a post-test with a passing score of 80% or higher (which can be retaken until passed), and complete a course evaluation
  4. collect your certificate of completion on your account after steps 1-3 are completed

CE Credits

1.5 CE continuing education hours of credit for each live webinar.
