Description

This course does not offer CE Credits. The same course is available for purchase and offers 3 CE hours for behavioral health clinicians.  See "related products" below.

As healthcare professionals, we dedicate ourselves to our practice and have normalized the emotional exhaustion and stress we experience as "part of the job" or personal failings - rather than recognizing them as a consequence of the demanding and emotionally taxing nature of caring for others.

This normalization, coupled with the fact that many of us struggle to differentiate between normal work stress and the specific symptoms of compassion fatigue, often leads to delayed recognition and intervention, slowly eroding our well-being and jeopardizing our ability to provide the best care for clients.

This course empowers you to break free from that cycle.

Led by experienced clinicians and experts in self-care and burnout prevention, this comprehensive course will equip you with the knowledge and tools to accurately identify compassion fatigue, understand its impact, and implement effective treatment strategies.

Through this course, you will learn to

  • recognize the subtle signs and symptoms of compassion fatigue
  • differentiate compassion fatigue from burnout and stress,
  • understand how current and past stressors contribute to countertransference, compassion fatigue, and burnout,
  • discover new evidence-based self-care techniques, incorporating mindfulness, stress-reduction techniques, and healthy lifestyle habits.
  • develop a personalized plan to restore your well-being and build a sustainable career.
  • Set boundaries and effectively manage your workload to prevent emotional exhaustion.
  • And more!

Register today and take the first step towards a healthier, more fulfilling career!

This is a non-interactive self-study course.

Instruction consists of 1 hour of video instruction and an evaluation.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify how their current and past stressors interact to create counter-transference, compassion fatigue, and burnout
