When words aren’t enough, bricks can build the bridge. For many clients—especially children—communicating complex emotions and experiences is overwhelming. This 3-course bundle equips clinicians with powerful, evidence-informed techniques using LEGO® to unlock therapeutic breakthroughs.

Learn how to creatively integrate LEGO®-based interventions into play therapy to foster connection, expression, and problem-solving across all ages and settings. This is more than just play—it’s purposeful, transformative work.

Althea T. Simpson, MBA, LCSW, RPT-S, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, and Certified LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Facilitator. As the founder of Unicorn Life Training and Brighter Day Therapeutic Solutions, Althea specializes in trauma recovery and empowering clinicians with practical, experiential interventions. Her expertise in using metaphors, introspection, and LEGO® models in therapy has made her a sought-after presenter at national conferences and clinical training events.

Through a structured yet creative approach, Althea guides participants in applying play therapy fundamentals to LEGO®-based techniques that are developmentally attuned and adaptable. You’ll explore directive and non-directive models, storytelling strategies, and reflective practices that deepen insight and build therapeutic rapport.

In this 7.5-hour self-paced course bundle, you’ll examine how to use LEGO® to support therapeutic goals across the lifespan. Topics include metaphor and story-making using the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® model, introspection and self-awareness, social and emotional development, limit setting in therapy, focused interventions using directive builds, and strategies for online LEGO® play therapy. The course provides detailed, stage-by-stage insights for integrating LEGO® with play therapy frameworks.

Key Takeaways:

  • Integrate diverse LEGO®-based methods: Learn directive, metaphorical, and introspective techniques to fit each client’s developmental needs and clinical goals.

  • Empower client storytelling and insight: Use LEGO® to help clients externalize their experiences, reframe their challenges, and build hope.

  • Adapt for any setting: Gain tools for in-person and telehealth settings using evidence-informed and ethically sound approaches.

Why this course bundle?

  • A cohesive bundle for deeper mastery: Rather than offering a one-off workshop, this course bundle delivers an integrated learning experience across three expertly designed trainings. Together, they cover storytelling, introspection, and directive play therapy, giving you a more complete set of tools than a standalone course ever could.

  • Maximize value and clinical versatility: By enrolling in this bundle, you gain access to multiple interventions and adaptable strategies—applicable across various age groups, client presentations, and settings (including telehealth)—at a discounted CE hour rate.

  • Learn from a leader in LEGO®-based therapy: Althea Simpson’s approach is both evidence-informed and grounded in lived clinical practice. Her work blends trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and creative expression, making this bundle not just educational—but transformative.

Whether you're just starting to explore LEGO® in your clinical work or looking to sharpen existing skills, this course offers a comprehensive, inspiring experience that blends imagination with clinical effectiveness. You’re invited to explore the power of play in a whole new way.

Add this course bundle to your cart to develop your skills, boost your confidence, and enhance your impact as a behavioral health professional.
