As TeleMental Health (TMH) services increase, providers must consider the ways in which they adapt their clinical skills, particularly with multi-person therapies. Clinicians using systemic models, and those working with couples and families, have unique concerns and considerations with minimal research available. Participants will learn practical applications for working online with couples and families and understand the role of innovation and creativity in adapting clinical skills for online use.
This is a non-interactive self-study course.
Instruction consists of 1 hour of video instruction and an evaluation.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify appropriate uses of TMH for couple and family therapy (CFT) and evaluate the differences in providing CFT through TMH.
- List several ethical and legal considerations for online CFT.
- Explain appropriate systemic adaptations for online CFT and describe how providers can use creativity and innovation in working with couples and families online.
From the time of registration, you have six months to access the coursework.
